FSH Prime Jamaica Limited, the only authorised distributor of the General Nutrition Centers (GNC) brand of nutritional products in Jamaica, recently announced that Miss Jamaica Universe, Chantal Zaky, has joined the GNC Jamaica LiveWell Team as a brand ambassador.
Zaky will work with GNC Jamaica to reach out to aspiring models and fitness enthusiasts through social media, gym appearances and marketing.
The GNC Jamaica team already includes Dr Jair Lyons, sports physical therapist, specialising in sport and fitness injuries and Kandi King, training and fitness enthusiast.
According to Complete Marketing Solutions Ltd, a statement from Zaky read: "It's a pleasure to work with a company that has people's health and well-being as its focus, and this is a great opportunity for me to help people live healthier, more active lifestyles. In my capacity as Miss Jamaica Universe, I am aware that I am a role model and must lead by example. I am happy to partner with GNC Jamaica as we share the common goal of a healthier Jamaica, which can only be achieved by commitment, hard work and discipline. I go to the gym regularly and I'm excited and happy that GNC Jamaica can provide me with the products I need to look and feel my best."
The reigning beauty queen was also recently in New York paying a visit to Jamaica's Consul General to New York, General Herman G. LaMont. They were in talks about how to deepen the spirit of patriotism and nationalism within Jamaicans at home and abroad and engage the world through a series of planned activities and projects which will rekindle a sense of pride in the country's independence and create a lasting legacy.
Those in the New York area can join Miss Universe Jamaica and the consul general of jamaica on the occasion of Jamaica's 50th anniversary of Independence at the annual service of thanksgiving on Sunday, July 29 at 4 p.m. at the Riverside Church, 490 Riverside Drive, New York, NY 10027
